Water facility provided in panchayat schools

The Salem Steel Plant, under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities, provided a bore well with motor and PVC tank of 1,000 litres capacity each to Panchayat Union Middle Schools at Ayyamperumampatty and Mottupatty on Wednesday. The project was implemented at a total cost of Rs. 6 lakh.

B. K. Thakur, general manager (Personnel andaAdministration), handed over the facilities to the respective panchayats. Rajeshwari Vadivel, president, Ayyamperumampatty panchayat, and S.K. Balasundaram, president, Tharamangalam Town Panchayat, senior officers and employees of Salem Steel Plant and a large number of villagers participated.
