Vijayakant loses his cool

A media briefing by a delegation that called on the Prime Minister in New Delhi on Monday turned into a public relations disaster with DMDK chief Vijayakant entering into a quarrel with journalists at Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan’s residence.

Mr. Vijayakant lost his cool at a television journalist and walked out of the press conference mid-way, only to be persuaded by others to return and address the journalists.

On the Supreme Court judgment striking down Bhavani Singh’s appointment as SPP, he said he had not read anything and was not in a position to comment.
