The Department of Rural Health Services and Family Welfare will organise a ‘No Scalpel Vasectomy’ (NSV) camp for men at Tenkasi Government Hospital on Friday.
A statement said that the family planning procedure, which could be completed within three minutes without using any anaesthetic agent, was painless and safe. Men undergoing the procedure could return home immediately and they would receive an incentive of Rs. 1,100. When women had ailments such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiac ailments, thei husbands could undergo this procedure.
