Tirunelveli-Tenkasi BG service likely before July

Train services on the Tirunelveli-Tenkasi broad gauge section was likely to start before July, said Divisional Railway Manager A.K. Goel.

During an informal chat with reporters here on Tuesday, Mr. Goel, after inspecting the completed and ongoing development works here such as pit lines and additional buildings along with Additional Divisional Railway Manager T. Venkatasubramanian said the gauge conversion work on the 72 km-long section had been almost completed and test run would be conducted in March.

Southern Railway General Manager Deepak Krishan would inspect the track and other preparations on March 11.
