Three drowned in Velankanni

Three boys drowned in a whirlpool in Velankanni sea on Sunday morning. The bodies of Jerome Jones (22), Dean Jones (16) and Vyasar (16), were recovered and sent to Nagapattinam Government Hospital for post-mortem. Four boys, who had arrived here for the week end, had gone into water on Sunday morning. While, one was rescued by volunteer ‘helping hands’ at the beach, the bodies of others were washed ashore later. Two of the dead were from Coimbatore and one was from Hosur in Krishnagiri.
