Team to look into Unicode standards for Tamil

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi has appointed a team under the leadership of retired judge S. Mohan to go into all issues involving establishment of standards for Unicode in Tamil computing.

This committee has also been tasked with examining the possibility of setting up a Unicode Consortium and make its recommendations to the government.

A total of 14 members, senior Tamil scholars and academics constitute the team headed by Mr. Mohan.
