Pursuant to the direction from the Supreme Court, a seven-member team from National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) and eight others from various State and Central Government agencies inspected the Sterlite Industries (India) Limited's copper manufacturing facility at South Veerapandiapuram near Tuticorin on Wednesday.
The inspection is likely to continue tomorrow.
