Sri Lankan Navy arrests five Indian fishermen

They were fishing near Delft island (Neduntheevu) in the Palk Bay when they were arrested.

After a brief lull, the Sri Lankan Navy has arrested five Indian fishermen with their trawlers on charges poaching in Sri Lankan waters on Saturday night. The fishermen, all from Rameswaram, were fishing near Delft island (Neduntheevu) in the Palk Bay when they were arrested. They were taken to Kankesanthurai to be handed over to the Sri Lankan fisheries officials.
