Solatium offered to kin of deceased

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi ordered to provide a sloatium of Rs. one lakh each to the kin of the two deceased who were to participate in his function here. A car hit the bystanders at Kilariyam near Koradachery on Wednesday.

He also ordered to provide Rs. 10,000 each as solatium to five injured persons in the accident. Accordingly the amount was handed over to the kin of deceased — Kamaraj (40) of Kilariyam and Arumugam (60) of Kilariyam and the injured persons Pannerselvam (45), Ashok Kumar (10), Valarmathi (40), Mani (17) and Sandhya (eight) by revenue officials, said a press release issued here on Wednesday.
