Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on Friday announced a solatium of Rs. one lakh each to families of 11 persons who died in an explosion of fire crackers stored in a building in Tiruvannamalai on Thursday.
Paying his condolence, Mr Karunanidhi said 13 persons, who were injured in the incident, would be given Rs. 50,000 each. Totally, Rs. 17.5 lakh had been sanctioned, an official release said.
