Second swine flu death in T.N.

A 53-year-old man died of complications from H1N1 viral infection (swine flu) in a government hospital here on Monday.

Doctors at Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital said P. Sreenivasan of Mannady in north Chennai had been admitted first to a private hospital in the city. On January 16, he was brought to the hospital.

“He was in bad shape when he came in, with pneumonia. We administered Tamiflu and gave him all necessary treatment,” a senior doctor said.

This is the second H1N1 death in two months in Tamil Nadu.
