The election flying squad for Arani constituency seized Rs.2.16 lakh in cash on Thursday from the office of an advocate belonging to DMK.
On receiving information from police, the flying squad led by C. Thunaivendhan, tahsildar, raided the office of advocate N.R. Rajan who is also serving as Additional Public Prosecutor-cum-Government Pleader.
The squad allegedly found the cash in his office drawer along with election related papers.
