With the low pressure area lying over Comorin in Kanyakumari moving towards the Arabian sea, rainfall over Tamil Nadu would decrease in the next two days, the weather office said here on Monday.
After a brief respite, several parts of the state were lashed by heavy rains in the last two days under the influence of the low pressure area in the Indian Ocean (in Comorin area).
However, met sources today said the trough was now lying over East Arabian sea off Kerala-Karnataka-Goa coast and due to this rainfall would decrease in Tamil Nadu.
