Water level in the Periyar dam on Saturday stood at 119.20 feet (136 feet) with an inflow of 167 cusecs and a discharge of 800 cusecs. The level in the Vaigai dam was 48.79 feet (71 feet) with an inflow of 455 cusecs and a discharge of 60 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood at 2,984 mcft.

Kallandiri recorded 48 mm of rainfall followed by Madurai 42, Mattupatti 32, Pulipatti 31, Melur 30, Maruandahi 20, Thaniyamangalam 18.5, Andipatti and Sattaiyar dam 13 mm each, Sittampatti 8, Manjalar dam 6.4, Vaigai dam 6, Kuppanampatti 5, Periyar dam 4.4, Sothuparai dam 4 and Peranai 1.5 mm.
