Over 5,000 register for employment skill training camp

As many as 5,343 persons registered their names on the first day of the special camp in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri collectorates for attending the State government’s ‘Employable Skill Training to Unemployed Educated Youth’ to be held on December 4 at Krishnagiri.

In Krishnagiri district 986 candidates registered their names through the website and 1007 in person on Tuesday, which includes 585 women. In Dharmapuri 2350 candidates, including 500 women registered for the selection camp. Of these1500 registered online.

People from all parts of the district started thronging the collectorate from 9 a.m. onwards to register their names for participating in the selection camp. Visually impaired and differently-abled persons were also taking part in the registration camp.

The registration counters will remain opens from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m on Wednesday and Thursday. Youths with the qualification of Plus 2 and above, and aged between 18 and 35, can register for taking part in the employment camp. Candidates should bring two passport size photographs and original certificates of educational qualifications. Candidates who cannot register their name in person can also register in the websites: www.krishnagiri.tn.nic.in or www.dharmapuri.tn.nic.in.

The employment camp will be held at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School in Krishnagiri on Saturday. As many as 41 companies have consented to participate in the camp, organised by the government in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry, to select eligible candidates.
