Nagapattinam district has secured a combined pass percentage of 79.28 in the SSLC and Matriculation exams, with the first three district-level ranks secured by five students.
The district has secured a pass percentage of 77.9 in the SSLC exams and 95.3 in the matriculation exams. The pass percentage in the SSLC exam is three per cent short of the last year's pass percentage of 80.9.
However, the Matriculation pass percentage has out shot last year's 95 percent. Girls have outperformed boys yet again, as the results declared for the SSLC and Matriculation examinations reveal.

The pass percentage of girls and boys was 81.3 and 80.82 respectively. However, the pass percentage of girls and boys in the SSLC exams has come down to 83 ( as against last year's 84.6), and 80 (as against last year's 82.1) respectively.
A.Subha of Valivalam Desigar Higher Secondary School has secured district rank with a score of 488 marks, followed by A.Sanjaikumar, Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Ayakaranpulam, and G.Nivedha of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Ayakaranpulam, with a score of 487 marks each. P.Usha of Government Higher Secondary School, Sikkal and M.Manikandan of D.P.D.R.National Higher Secondary School, Mayiladuthurai have secured rank III in the district with a score of 486 marks.
Hajara, Nagore Crescent Matriculation School, has secured State I rank with a score of 96 in Arabic. Of a total of 20,812 students,16,229 students have cleared the SSLC exam. Similarly, 1,608 students have passed the matriculation exams from a total of 1,686 students.

Over 34 schools have secured cent per cent pass percentage, and they include 19 matriculation schools, seven government schools, six aided schools, one self-financed and one Adi Dravidar School.
The district has secured 14 centums in Maths, 22 centums in Science, and 13 in Social Sciences.
