Flights cancelled in Chennai as AI pilots continue strike

Arrival and departure of 11 flights both domestic and international at the Chennai airport were cancelled on Sunday following strike by a section of Air India pilots.

Airport sources said while in domestic sector one flight on the arrival side and three on the departure side were cancelled, on the international sector arrival of four flights and departure of three flights were cancelled.

The cancelled flights in the domestic sector included New Delhi - Chennai IC 439; Chennai - New Delhi IC 430; Chennai - Mumbai IC-971 and Chennai - Mumbai IC-571.

On the international side Chennai - Sharjah IC-967; Chennai - Colombo IC-573 and Chennai - Muscat IC-925. On the international arrival side the flights cancelled included IC-974 Muscat-Chennai; AI-047 Singapore-Chennai; IC-956 Kuala Lumpur - Chennai and IC-574 Colombo-Chennai.
