There are a total of 14,89,921 voters in Thanjavur district as per the draft electoral rolls released by M.S.Shanmugham, District Collector, here on Monday. Out of these voters, 7,41,060 are male and 7,48,861 are female. Women voters outnumber men .
As per the rolls, there are 1,89,878 voters (96785 male and 93093 female) in Thiruvidaimaruthur assembly segment, 1,91,128 (95770 male and 95358 female) in Kumbakonam assembly segment, 1,92,132 (95956 male and 96176 female) in Papanasam assembly segment, 1,99,898 (100065 male and 99833 female) in Thiruvaiyaru assembly segment, 1,88,150 (92595 male and 95555 female) in Thanjavur assembly segment, 1,85,076 (92454 male and 92622 female) in Orathanadu assembly segment, 1,77,798 (85476 male and 83902 female) in Pattukottai assembly segment and 1,65,861 (81956 male and 83902 female) in Peravurani assembly segment.
A CD containing the voters list without photographs has been given to representatives of recognised political parties. The rolls have been displayed at all the Revenue Divisional Offices, Panchayat Union Offices and polling booths for the perusal of voters. People can verify their names in the list.

Voters left out in the list can include their names from October 25 to November 9. Deletions and corrections can also be done during this period. Special camps will be held for receiving applications for addition, deletion or correction on October 30 and November 7. Applications can be obtained from designated officers in designated locations.
Those who want to add their names should do so in form number 6, for deletion form number 7, for correction form number 8.
