District Judge, Magistrate suspended

The Madras High Court on Wednesday placed under suspension the Principal District Judge (PDJ), Tiruvallur, C.Chinnappan and the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM), N.Sivakumar.

This followed a surprise visit by the Chief Justice M.Y.Eqbal in Tiruvallur district. High Court sources said that the PDJ was not available at the district headquarters.

He had not submitted any leave letter nor sought any permission. Similarly, the CJM was also not available and he had not given any leave letter.
