Aavin to maintain regular supply of milk to consumers

The Salem District Milk Producers’ Union Aavin has taken special initiative to maintain regular supply of milk to its consumers in Salem and Namakkal districts.

While private dealers have hiked the marketing price of milk, Salem Aavin has been marketing the milk at the same rate, R. Sukumar, Collector in-charge, said in a statement here on Tuesday.

The Aavin is already marketing the milk through 664 agents in both the districts. It is also running seven parlours. Besides, Aavin is marketing the milk through 73 private milk parlours.

The Aavin milk in green sachet is priced at Rs. 41 per litre (fat 4.5 per cent and SNF 8.5 per cent); and orange sachet Rs. 45 per litre (fat 6 per cent and SNF 9 per cent).

Mr. Sukumar said the consumers for any complaint on shortage of milk or for more milk can contact G. R.
