Eight passengers of a Chennai-bound Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporation bus coming from Coimbatore sustained injuries when the driver of the bus lost control, and the bus broke through the central median.
Collision
The vehicle collided with a lorry coming in the opposite direction on the flyover in the Chennai-Bangalore National Highway in Konavattam here in the early hours of Saturday.

The front portions of the lorry, laden with iron materials, and the bus were badly damaged in the accident.
The injured persons have been admitted to the Government Vellore Medical College Hospital, Adukkamparai.
