Five more associates of Thally MLA T. Ramachandran were detained under the Goondas Act on Sunday.
According to police, they were detained under the Act in connection with the murder of PDK functionary T. Palani alias Palanisamy.
The detention orders were served on the accused at the Salem Central Prison on Sunday.
