Two persons were arrested for alleged possession of 41 pirated CDs of new films under Marthandam and Kottar police station limits on Saturday.
According to police, during a surprise raid on a shop in Marthandam, 37 CDs kept for sale were seized. M. Maduselvan (27) of Kunnathottam of Unnamalaikadai under Marthandam police limits was arrested and later released on bail.
In the other incident, four CDs were seized from a shop at Kottar-Parakkai Road junction on Friday. S. Vishnu (25) of Asaripallam here was arrested. Kottar Police have registered a case.
