400 candidates get placed

Around 400 people were selected for jobs from 1300 candidates who participated in the National Institute for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (NI-MSME) Job Mela held at the St. Joseph’s College of Arts and Science, Manjakuppam, Cuddalore district on February 27. The NI-MSME is an organisation of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.

The event was organised by the Pondicherry Multipurpose Social Service Society (PMSSS) and St. Joseph’s College of Arts and Science, Cuddalore in association with RJ Solution.

Companies from engineering, automobile, retail and marketing, information technology and business process outsourcing sectors participated in the job fair, said a release from the organisers.

NI-MSME has been conducting entrepreneurship skill development programmes like mobile repairing, cosmetology and beautician courses, two-wheeler maintenance, computer hardware and networking, artificial jewellery making and catering in Puducherry, Karaikal, Cuddalore and Villupuram.

The job offer letters were handed over to selected candidates by J. Koteeswara Rao, program director, School of Enterprises, NI-MSME, Hyderabad.
