131 doctors recruited for new multi-speciality hospital

A total of 131 doctors have been selected for the new multi-speciality hospital coming up on Omandurar Government Estate here.

On Thursday, the Medical Recruitment Board conducted counselling for candidates who had applied for various posts at the new hospital.

According to a Health Department official, posts for senior and junior consultants, doctors and four registrars have been filled.

Though advertisements had called for applications from retired persons also, only candidates in service who had applied for the positions have been offered the posts, the official added. Those appointed include doctors from private service.
