13 substations to come up in Krishnagiri district

As many as 13 substations have been proposed to be set up at a cost of Rs.79.86 crore here in the district. The funds have been allocated for setting up of substations at Sigaralapalli, Chettipalli, Mudukurukki, Irudhukottai, Perugobanapalli, Koochur, Pannandhur, Bayanapalli, Poonapalli, Nagondapalli, Madakondapalli, Akkondapalli and Ottapatti.

Besides the proposal for the new substations, clearances have been obtained for setting up of a 33 KV substation at Jawalagiri.

Presently, Tangedco is scouting for land for the substation project.

Under the aegis of Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, Jawalagiri Panchayat has been chosen to set up the 33/11 KV sub station here and will be funded through the local MP’s model village scheme.

Presiding over the Tangedco review committee meeting here at the collectorate, Ashok Kumar, MP, Krishnagiri, called upon the Tangedco to expedite works in coordination with the district administration.

three phase electricity meters; and 7361 single phase electricity meters here in the district.
