12 candidates in Dindigul, 10 in Theni file nominations

Twelve candidates filed their nomination papers for seven constituencies in Dindigul district on Monday.

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate M. Basheer Ahmad, Pattali Makkal Katchi’s R. Parasuram and Gandhi Makkal Iyakkam candidate K. Umarani filed their nominations for Dindigul constituency. In Palani, three candidates, including DMK’s I. P. Senthil Kumar and two Independents - R. Thanga Pandian and K.A. Madurai Veeran - filed papers.

In Oddanchatram, two candidates, including sitting MLA and DMK candidate R. Chakkarapani, and his dummy R. Jotheeswaran filed their nominations.

DMK candidates M.A. Andi Ambalam filed his papers for Natham and M. Anbalagan submitted nominations in Nilakottai.

Congress candidate R. Sivasakthi Gounder and his dummy candidate S. Ramasamy filed papers in Vedasandur.

Ten candidates filed their nominations for four Assembly constituencies in Theni district.

Bharatiya Janata Party candidate V. Venkateswaran, DMK candidate S. Lakshmanan, PMK candidate A. Ramakrishnan and Independent M. Manoharan (40) filed their papers in Bodinaickanur. In Cumbum, four candidates, including sitting MLA and DMK candidate N. Ramakrishnan, Naam Thamizhar Katchi candidate R. Jayabal, People Welfare Front- TMC candidate O.R. Ramachandran and his dummy candidate K. Vasu, filed papers.

DMK candidates V. Anbalagan and L Mookaiah filed nomination papers for Periyakulam and Andipatti constituencies respectively.
