‘Kabali’ audio launch to take place on June 12

Jubilant fans take to Twitter to express their eagerness in seeing actor Rajnikanth take centre-stage

After weeks of speculation among fans, producer Kalaippuli S. Thanu announced on Thursday that the audio launch for Rajnikanth’s ‘Kabali’ would take place on June 12.

“Happy to announce that #Kabali Audio Launch will Happen on June 12!!” , the producer tweeted from the account of his production house ‘V Creations’ on microblogging site Twitter. Jubilant fans reacted with tweets about how they were eager to see superstar Rajnikanth take the stage and also see the trailer of the movie — the plot of which has been kept under wraps.

The teaser of the movie, which has Rajnikanth essay the role of an ageing don in Malaysia, has received over 20 million views on Youtube so far. The audio rights of the film in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, with music by Santhosh Narayanan, was recently bagged by Think Music India.

The film is also going to be dubbed in Malay and released in Malaysia as it has evoked a lot of curiosity and expectations in the country, which the makers are cashing in on.

Directed by Pa. Ranjith, the movie features an ensemble cast of Radhika Apte, Dhansikaa, John Vijay, Kishore and Dinesh.

Dhanshika all set to play cop

Actor Dhanshika who has been in the limelight for her role in Rajinikant-starrer ‘ Kabali ’ is now all set to play a cop in the upcoming movie ‘ Kaathadi.’ She will pair opposite Avishek, who is actor Sridevi’s nephew and brother of actor Maheswari.

Directed by S. Kalyan, the movie is set to be a cocktail of action and comedy. The plot revolves around kidnapping of a child, Sathanya and Dhanshika, who plays a cop, saves the child. Just like his previous movie, ‘Kadha Solla Porom’, director Kalyan promises to entertain audience with sentimental scenes in the upcoming film too.

Being shot in places like Yelagiri, Chennai and Kerala, the film has actors Sampath, Kota Srinivasa Rao, John Vijay, Manobala, Kali Venkat and Madhumita, also donning supporting roles. While Pavan has composed music for songs, Deepan has scored background music for the film that is soon hit the screen.
