The government on Friday received overall bids of Rs. 1,02,215 crore from telecom operators at the end of the tenth day of spectrum auction. About 87 per cent of the spectrum was provisionally allocated after six rounds of bidding during the day. With this, the total number of bidding rounds during the auction that started on March 4 stood at 61.
As there is still unsold spectrum left, the bidding will continue on Monday, an official release said.
“About 87 per cent of the spectrum has been provisionally allocated to bidders. The provisional amount committed by bidders at the end of the 61st round is Rs. 1,02,215 crore,” the Department of Telecom said.

On Day 10, excess bidding was seen in two telecom circles of Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in the 800 Mhz band and in Haryana and Himachal Pradesh circles in the 1800 Mhz band.
