Sonia Gandhi feeling better, will remain under observation: doctors

Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who has been hospitalised for lower respiratory tract infection, is feeling better but will remain under observation.

“Mrs Gandhi is feeling better and her condition is improving. Her medications will continue and she will remain under observation,” said Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman (Officiating), Board of Management, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.

The 68-year-old Ms. Gandhi was admitted to the hospital on Thursday evening with Lower Respiratory Tract Infection and some breathing difficulty for treatment and observation.

Ms. Gandhi is admitted under the care of Dr. Arup Kumar Basu, Senior Consultant and Chairman of Respiratory Medicine.
