Tripura High Court Bar Association has demanded cancellation of license of an advocate who recently came down heavily on Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Gupta. The resolutions of the general meeting were unanimous. Sujit Dutta, during a press conference on June 24 alleged that Chief Justice Gupta had indulged in financial irregularities.

The high court bar association found the allegations baseless, intentional and malicious and amounted to undermine the Chief Justice as well as the High Court. It demanded that the Bar Council of Tripura should take measure to cancel practise license of Advocate Sujit Dutta and urged Advocate General to move criminal contempt charge against him for ‘misconduct’.
