Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to offer two divisions of the Indian Army and one squadron of the Indian Air Force to the U.S.-led coalition against Islamic State (IS) terrorists.

In a message released on Thursday before the Prime Minister’s departure to the U.S., Dr. Swamy said, “It is better India fights the IS on the Syrian border now rather than on the Wagah border and J&K LoC two years from now.”

“Not since Hitler’s rise in Germany has such a sinister force risen in the world. Hence India cannot afford to be non-aligned at this crucial stage, but be counted on the side of the United States in this emerging Dharma Yudh,” Dr. Swamy said.
