Indrani Mukerjea, key accused in the Sheena Bora murder case, has written another letter to the judge of the special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court seeking details of her husband Peter Mukerjea’s Call Data Record (CDR) for the years 2012 and 2015.
The Hindu has a copy of the letter that reads, ‘‘I, Indrani Peter Mukerjea presently lodged in Byculla prison, submits – I have strong reasons to believe that accused number 4, Pritam Mukerjea with the assistance of the other persons including accused number 3 turned approver Shyamvar Rai may have conspired and abducted my daughter, Sheena Bora in 2012 and made her untraceable and subsequently destroyed evidence.”
The letter further mentions, “I also believe that Peter along with other persons have manipulated circumstances to frame me and have influenced witnesses, situations and information leading to my arrest on August 25, 2015 for a heinous crime that they may have committed, aided and abetted. I am convinced that if we are able to obtain the CDR of Peter’s mobile number, we will be in a better position to ascertain if he and other persons were involved in the disappearance of my daughter, Sheena and there will be more clarity if Peter and other persons have a role in framing me.”

Ms. Mukerjea has sought CDR details of Peter’s mobile number from January 1, 2012 till December 31, 2012 and January 1, 2015 till December 31, 2015. She concluded the letter by saying, ‘‘I offer my inner gratitude to Your Honour for your kindness and endeavour to provide justice to my daughter, Sheena who may have lost her life on account of greed, betrayal, jealousy, lust and ill-will of persons who she dearly loved and trusted.’’
The court now has directed Peter’s advocate to file a reply to this plea.
