Pakistan envoy bids adieu

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh received Pakistan High Commissioner Salman Bashir for a farewell call on Saturday at his residence.

The High Commissioner thanked the Prime Minister for the courtesies and cooperation he had received during his stay from the Indian Government. He conveyed the desire of the leadership and people of Pakistan for better relations between the two countries, according to a Pakistan High Commission news release.

Dr. Singh reciprocated the sentiments and conveyed his best wishes for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the people of Pakistan.
