The CBI Special Court, which is hearing the 2G spectrum case, on Saturday reserved its order on the anticipatory bail plea moved by Cineyug Films promoter Karim Morani for Monday.
Mr. Morani's lawyers submitted to Special Judge O.P. Saini a medical report from the J.J. Hospital, Mumbai, on the Bollywood film producer's health condition. While Mr. Morani's counsel argued that his health had been poor in the last few months, the CBI noted that the medical report had stated that his condition was stable as of now.
However, the CBI said the onus of deciding on bail on health grounds was on the court while it opposed bail for him going by the merits of the case. CBI counsel U.U. Lalit said the transfer of over Rs.200 crore from Dynamix Realty to Kalaignar TV through Mr. Morani's firm Cineyug was not an “innocent transfer of money.”

Mr. Morani's counsel said Cineyug was a company with an interest in films and that it was natural that it wanted to acquire a stake in a TV company.
CBI counsel countered, pointing out that the Rs.200 crore was transferred in a number of tranches and often through back-to-back transactions made on the same day from Dynamix Realty to Kalaignar TV via Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables and Cineyug Films.
Rajya Sabha member Kanimozhi's mother Rajathi Ammal, who came to the Patiala House Courts, on Saturday morning broke down on seeing her daughter being produced in the court from the Tihar jail.

Ms. Kanimozhi's son also came to the court.
Mr. Saini also reserved the order on the bail pleas of the accused, Asif Balwa and Rajiv Aggarwal, for May 24.
The judge allowed their application seeking permission to resign their positions as directors in DB Properties Pvt. Ltd. as they were incarcerated.
