The BJP leadership on Thursday made it clear that there was no proposal to take back the former Karnataka Chief Minister, B.S. Yeddyurappa into the party fold.

KJP campaign committee president and former Union Minister V. Dhananjay Kumar said his party had made it clear that if an official communication inviting Mr. Yeddyuraapa to rejoin the BJP was received, the KJP would consider it. “We, on our own, will not seek re-entry into the BJP. We have no such proposal.”
The delegation wanted Mr. Yeddyurappa’s return to avoid a split in the anti-Congress votes because of which the BJP lost power in the State early this year.
