After drawing a blank for over a month in finding any credible clue in the Bodhgaya explosions, NIA chief Sharad Kumar will be visiting the blast site on Thursday in an effort to speed up the probe.
Mr. Kumar, who took over the reins of the investigating agency of the country last July, will talk to the probe officers of the NIA and state police and also go through the evidence collected in this regard.
Two monks were injured in 10 blasts that took place early in the morning of July 7 in the Mahabodhi temple. Three unexploded bombs were also found from the complex.

The agency is probing every aspect related to the blast and the role of every group which includes right wing, left wing besides Indian Mujahideen and Rohingyas.
Two sketches of a suspect in a monk’s robe were also released by the NIA.
The bombs planted at the highest seat of Buddhism were manufactured in most crude form and timers were set barely one hour before triggering the explosions.

Agencies suspect the terror module involved in Bodhgaya temple blasts in Bihar could be a new one as the unexploded IEDs do not have signatures of bombs which were used in previous terror strikes across the country.
The Centre, on the request of Bihar government, has already cleared a security umbrella of the paramilitary CISF to guard the temple premises.
