Even as the police continues investigation into the murder of senior journalist Chandrika Rai and his entire family, Mr. Rai's brother has announced a cash reward of Rs. two lakh for any information helpful in nabbing the murderers.
“We are not satisfied with the police's response. They have tried to confuse everyone by floating several theories,” Mr. Mithilesh Rai, brother of Mr. Chandrika Rai, told The Hindu .
“Therefore I have announced a cash reward of Rs. 2 lakh on my part to anyone who can provide us or the police any clue regarding the murder,” he added.

Senior journalist Chandrika Rai was found murdered at his residence along with his wife and two teenage children in Madhya Pradesh's Umaria district on Saturday.
While the opposition Congress has alleged the role of the coal mafia active in the region in the murder, the police and Mr. Rai's family don't seem to agree with it.
“You are a journalist so you should know better. If the coal mafia wanted to kill him, they would have chosen a place and hit him alone, not with his entire family at his residence,” said Mr. Mithilesh Rai.

Even the police seem to be focussing more on the kidnapping link.
