‘Talks with Pakistan only after 26/11 perpetrators are punished’

Published - January 30, 2010 03:56 pm IST - Jammu

Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Farooq Abdullah said talks between India and Pakistan can resume only when Pakistan takes action against those involved in the Mumbai attacks.

“Indian stand is that terrorism be wiped out and those involved in Mumbai attack be punished,” he told reporters after attending a function organised by J.K. Peace Foundation (JKPF), on the occasion of ‘ Shaheedi Divas ’ of Mahatma Gandhi.

When India feels that Pakistan has taken action against the perpetrators of Mumbai attack, talks will resume, he said.
