Activist and Supreme Court lawyer Prashant Bhushan on Saturday alleged that former CBI judge Brijmohan Loya did not die of a heart attack as claimed by the police.
“There is conclusive evidence to prove that judge Loya did not die of a heart attack. The documents say so. I will visit the Dande hospital [where judge Loya was taken for treatment] today,” said Mr. Bhushan, who was in Nagpur to deliver a lecture at Dr. Ambedkar Law College’s Law Vision fest. “I can’t say it’s murder, but it could be.”

To a query on the statement of two Bombay High Court judges on Justice Loya’s death, Mr. Bhushan said that none of the judges had made any statements on an affidavit.“The judges can’t say he died of a heart attack only because he complained of chest pain,” he said.
