An examination held by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan on Sunday for recruitment of teachers was cancelled after reports that the question paper had leaked.

An official statement here said the KVS had received information from the Rewari police in Haryana that they had busted a gang allegedly involved in the paper leak and recovered incriminating material from them.

“Yesterday evening, it was brought to the notice of the KVS that the question paper of the PRT exam has been leaked and its soft version is circulating on the Internet messaging application WhatsApp,” the statement said.

It has not yet been notified when the test for recruitment to the post of Primary Teachers (PRT) and Primary Teachers (Music) will be held again. The KVS has outsourced the complete recruitment work, including setting, printing and dispatch of question papers, to various centres across the country and opening of question paper at the time of examination to the All India Management Association (AIMA).
