External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna will meet his Pakistani counterpart Hina Rabbani Khar in Tokyo on Sunday.

Government sources said Mr. Krishna would raise the issue of alleged Mumbai attacks handler Abu Jundal “corroborating” another accused David Headley’s claim about the involvement of Pakistani officials in the carnage.

Both the Ministers are in Japan to attend an international conference on Afghanistan.

The conference should also see India indirectly raising the issue of “safe havens” in the region impacting on the Afghan security situation.

The two would take note of the issues discussed at the India-Pakistan Foreign Secretary talks here early this week, said the sources.

The interaction would be useful for the structured meeting between the two in Islamabad scheduled for next month.
