Thrissur St. Thomas College champions at D-zone festival

Bags 245 points to top the Calicut varsity fete

The jubilant St. Thomas College team that won the championship at the Calicut University D-zone festival that concluded at Prof. C. Achutha Menon College in Thrissur on Friday.

St. Thomas College, Thrissur, lifted the overall championship at the D-Zone Youth Festival of Calicut University with 245 points. The contest concluded at the C. Achutha Menon Government College on Friday.

Sahrudaya College, Kodakara, bagged the second position, and Christ College, Irinjalakuda, the third position.

St. Thomas College reached the first position with 245 points, while Sahrudaya got 167 points and Christ College secured 153 points.

Winners

Balagopal S. Marar of Christ College, Irinjalakuda was adjudged Kalaprathibha with 14 points. Aisha Sherin of Guruvayur Sreekrishna College and Asha Suresh Nair of Christ College shared the Kalathilakam title with 10 points.

Sharfana of MES Asmabhi College and M. Aswathi of Christ College, Irinjalakuda , shared the Sarga Prathibha title with 11 points. P.R. Nubla of MES Asmabhi College was chosen Chitra Kala Prathibha.

Prof . K.U. Arunan MLA distributed the prizes.
