A Class X student was killed and four others were injured in a collision involving a car and truck at Kallangai locality near here at around 11 p.m. on Sunday. The occupants of the car were returning to Kanhangad from Mangalore airport after seeing of a Gulf-bound passenger. Muhammed Hameez Khan, 16, son of Firoz, who suffered multiple injuries died on the way to a hospital here.
The other injured, all said to be in the age group of 18, were shifted to a hospital in Mangalore as their health condition remained critical.
