Javadekar asks voters to choose between development, propaganda

The law-and-order situation has worsened under the Pinarayi Vijayan-led LDF government in the State, Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar has said.

He was inaugurating the election convention of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) at Chengannur on Sunday.

“People are being murdered under the Left rule in the State. A pregnant woman was attacked. In the worst kind of human rights violation, a youth was murdered in police custody. The State had witnessed the brutal murder of a tribal youth and a tourist. There is violence everywhere. However, the so called progressive thinkers, writers, and others are keeping mum on the violence unleashed under the LDF government,” Mr. Javadekar said. The Union Minister urged the people of Kerala to choose between development and propaganda.

“Kerala is facing many problems. There is hardly any governance in the State. The wrong measures initiated by the State government has put the State in dire straits. However, Finance Minister Thomas Isaac is blaming the Centre for the State’s financial troubles,” Mr. Javadekar said.

BJP State president Kummanam Rajasekharan, BJP leader and NDA candidate P.S. Sreedharan Pillai, and others attended the convention.

The Bharat Dharma Jana Sena boycotted the event.
