Prime accused in the solar panel scam, Biju Radhakrishnan and Saritha S. Nair, were again produced before a court here, on Thursday, in connection with allegedly duping three local persons of Rs. 1.75 lakh by giving assurances to arrange dealership of a wind power unit.
The duo was produced before the First Class Judicial Magistrate court judge Rajeevan Vachal who remanded them for two more weeks till September 26.
The accused were first produced before the court on August 29 and were brought here early on Thursday from Thodupuzha jail after expiry of their previous remand term.

Having extended their remand term, the duo were taken to an Ernakulam jail in connection with other cases pending against them, Dy.SP P. Thamban told
Masquerading as partners of the Coimbatore-based ICMS windmill power unit, Radhakrishnan and Saritha had failed to deliver the goods after receiving the amount, in two installments, from P. K. Madhavan Nair of Madikkai village, T. Hamsa of Kottachery, and C. H. Ibrahim of Ajanur village, in January 2012.
Meanwhile, a controversy erupted over taking the two to the PWD rest house here shortly after their arrival here at 6.30 a.m. The Dy.SP said they were taken to the rest house as there were no adequate toilet facilities elsewhere for the duo and 14 policemen who escorted them. He said the police had not booked any room for the accused and had only provided bathroom facility for them.
