The Grain, a three-day State-level short film festival, will begin here on Friday under the joint aegis of Palakkad Press Club and the AJK College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. The venue will be the press club auditorium. Selected short films of not more than five minutes’ duration in video/digital format will be screened. Film director Madhav Ramdas will inaugurate the festival. College managing trustee Ajitkumar Lalmohan will be the chief guest on the occasion. A total of 50 films will be screened. Cash awards will be given to winners.
