State Police Chief K.S. Balasubramanian has said that the possibility of operating KSRTC buses to Pulmedu from Kumily for the Makaravilakku festival will be explored in view of the heavy influx of pilgrims expected there to worship the Makarajyoti on January 14.

He was in Sabarimala to review the security arrangements at the pilgrim centre on Sunday evening.

Mr. Balasubramanian said Pulmedu witnessed heavy rush on the previous Makaravilakku day. The police would ensure better security arrangements there this time.
