Kerala State Chalachithra Academy announces State television awards for 2016

The Kerala State televeision awards for 2016 have been announced.

Kerala State Chalachithra Academy chairman Kamal, who announced the awards here on Saturday, said that Pokkuveyil directed by K.K. Rajiv and aired on Flowers TV has been adjudged the best serial.

Thapaswini Vishudha Evu Prasia , directed by Sibi Yogyaveedan, is the second best serial. The best comedy serial is

Mathala Naranga , written and directed by Anil Parakkad.

Appooppan Thadi , written and directed by Sivaprasad K.V., is the best telefilm. T.N. Sajimon who wrote the story for

Uriyattom is the best story writer. Mampazham Season 10 produced by Malayalam Communications Ltd. and aired on Kairali TV is the best entertaining television show.

Uppum Mulakum , directed by R. Unnikrishnan, and telecast on Flowers TV, is the best comedy programme and Biju Sopanam, who plays the lead in the programme, is the best comedian.

Siddharthan, who gave voice for the programme

Sahyathrika , is the best male dubbing artiste and Angel Shijoy, who gave voice for
Thapaswini Vishudha Evuprasia , best female dubbing artiste.
Manvettom , directed by Hari Rajakad, is the best short film for children and Abhilash Vijayan, who directed
Chaver , the best director. K. Gireesh Babu is the best actor for
Uriyattom .

Kalabhavan Rehman won the award for the second best actor for Notice Vandi ( Oru Cinema Undakkiya Katha ). Shafna Nizam and Sruthi Lekshmi are best female actors. They won the awards for Sahyathrika and Pokkuveyil respectively. Reena Basheer, who acted in Pokkuveyil, is the second best actor. Parvathy Unnikrishnan, who acted in Mathala Naranga , is the best child artiste. Ansar Shah, who cranked the camera for Chaver , is the best cameraman. S. Suraj won the award for editing Appooppan Thadi . K.V. Subramanian ( Chaver ) is the best music director and Sanal George ( Chaver ), best sound recordist. Sibi Kallodi, Thapaswini Vishudha Evu Prasia , is the best art director.

Malabarile Khalasikal directed C.N. Jayajose Raj is the best documentary in general category. He is also the best documentary director. Bhoomikkayi by Subit Sukumar is the best documentary in science and environment category. It was shown on Jeevan TV. Mr. Sukumar also won the award for the best documentary in biography category that was shown on Jeevan TV. Best documentary in women and children category goes to Choondu Viral by Abjiyoth Varghese shown on Manorama News. He also won the award for the best children’s programme for Nashtamakunna Avadhikkalam .

Best anchor of an education programme is M.G. Radhakrishnan for Vakku Pookkum Kalam on Asianet News. Best news cameraman award goes to K.P. Vijesh for the programme Lens (Poor Man) aired on Asianet News. Gopikrishnan of MediaOne TV is the best news presenter (Special Edition). Govind Padmasurya is the best anchor of feature programme Adi Mone Buzzer on Asianet.

Salin V. Mankuzhi won the best commentator award for Out of Vision . Arun Kumar ( Kerala Summit , MediaOne) is the best interviewer.

M.G. Anish won the award for the best investigative journalist for Anweshanam aired on Asianet News. He won the award for the programme on the last Naxalite in prison. The award for the best current affairs programme went to Vypeenile Amma in Beyond the Headlines on MediaOne, produced by Sanup Sasidharan.

K.G. Jayan won the award for the best cameraman for 1n Returns Just a Book and Sohanlal’s TV Serialukal Samoohathodu Cheyyunnathu won the award for the best article.
