The Popular Front of India (PFI) has a clandestine agenda of ‘Islamisation’ through promoting conversion and communalising issues, according to an affidavit filed by the State government in the High Court.
The affidavit said that Muslim youth indoctrinated by the PFI would resort to selective elimination of persons who were against Islam. The State government said that the activists of NDF/PFI had been involved in 27 communally motivated murder cases, 86 attempt-to-murder cases, and 106 communal cases registered in the State.
The affidavit was filed in response to a petition filed by Thejas, mouthpiece of PFI in the State, challenging the refusal of the government to give government advertisements to the daily.

The affidavit said the editorial policy of Thejas was based on PFI’s ideology. It added that the brutal face of NDF/PFI had come to light with the attack on Malayalam teacher T.J. Joseph at Muvattupuzha. The affidavit said that many of SIM cards used by the accused in the case were taken on behalf of Thejas. The anti-national activities of PFI were again confirmed after the arrest of 21 hardcore PFI activists from Narath.
The affidavit said it was suspected that PFI received huge funds through ‘India Fraternity Forum,’ a counterpart of the NDF/PFI in Gulf countries. The funds were collected by propagating stories in Thejas that Muslim minority was being tortured in India and in the State. The PFI had been using the daily to propagate its ‘extremist’ ideology.
